What is Layered Learning ?
Christian has created the Layered Learning process through his experiences over the last 20+ years of coaching golfers of all ages and skill levels to become their best. Christian has developed a way to get any golfer at any level to improve, to understand why and to keep improving relative to effort and desire.
Layered learning is understanding that in every part of the game, there is a hierarchy of information related to its level of importance relative to you and where you are at.
The hierarchy of information simplifies your thought process and clarifies what you need to Do. It is based around three possibilities within the swing - movement , direction and stability.
All parts of the game have BASE level ESSENTIAL, CONCEPTS and MOVEMENTS. Knowing this and what these are, simplifies thought process and clarifies understanding. These ESSENTIALS never change and are continually worked on for maintenance of your game are are the pillars to consistency and having more fun learning and playing the game.
All parts of the game have MID level REQUIRED, EXTENSION and STABILITY aspects. These are not essential to play well but are the seeds that we plant for developing the best golfer you can be. These are always stacked on top of BASE level ESSENTIALS and should never compromise them. Understanding the MID level aspects allows practice to be much more defined, deliberate and effective.
All parts of the game have ADVANCED level insights that are helpful for getting your technique to its capacity of performance, efficiency, consistency and reliability when outside your comfort zone. These insights are always subtle but helpful in blending the Base and MID level components together. These insights can be learned by any level of golfer who works through the layered learning process.
